Nimir Resins Limited was incorporated as “Reichhold Resins (Pakistan) Private Limited” on December 17, 1964. The company was listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange in May 1992. The name of the company was changed to “Nimir Resins Limited” on November 27, 1997, after being acquired by a Saudi based group.
In 2004, the Saudis sold the company to an American group operating under the name of Knightsbridge, who after taking over sold the company to Descon group. Later, the name of the company was changed to Descon Chemicals Limited in 2010. In January 2016, Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited bought the controlling interest of the company from Descon group, and changed the name to Nimir Resins Limited.
The company is engaged in a wide range of well diversified range of chemicals. The company is proud to be the pioneer in introducing alkyd resins in Pakistan in 1964. Our product portfolio includes a large range of coatings, emulsion & polyester resins, optical brightening agents, pulp and paper chemicals, textile chemicals, monomers, solvents, adhesives and other chemicals.
